Robert Besser 3rd March 2023, 07:43 GMT+11 TULSA, Oklahoma: Residents in central Oklahoma were assessing the damage and clearing debris after a series of rare February tornadoes plowed through the area overnight, injuring a dozen people and causing power outages for thousands.During a news conference, Norman, Oklahoma Chief of Police Kevin Foster said that 12 people were taken to the hospital after suffering minor injuries, though none of the injuries were life-threatening.Meanwhile, the National Weather Service said that the twister was one of seven that struck Oklahoma, and two more were reported in Kansas.
